You will need the following documents and information

  • Valid email address
  • Social security number

    Income verification for requested loan/line amounts over $5,000:
    • All pay stubs from most recent calendar month OR
    • W-2 or 1099 Forms from the past 2 years OR
    • Last 2 federal personal income tax returns with all schedules signed

Basic Guidelines and Considerations

  • You must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
  • We currently accept online applications from residents of Hawaii, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
  • You must allow First Hawaiian Bank to check your credit in order for us to consider you for a personal loan.
  • To protect your personal information, your application will timeout after 30 minutes of inactivity.

  • The minimum loan amount for an FHB personal loan is $2,500.
  • For loans greater than $25,000, joint applications, or secured loans (including auto loans), please Visit a branch.
  • Please note that in order to comply with Section 3513 of the Guam Uniform Consumer Credit Code, Guam residents' loans less than or equal to $13,650 cannot exceed a term of 36 months.
  • After the application is submitted, FHB may reach out to verify your ID (valid driver's license or other proof of ID)

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
